The short version: we collect almost nothing, and we sell nothing.
What this site collects
MyMusicKid has no accounts, no signups, and no tracking pixels of our own. The selector quiz, calculator, and sizing tools run entirely in your browser — your answers are never sent to us or stored anywhere.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful — things like page views, approximate region, and device type, collected via cookies. This data is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally. You can block analytics cookies in your browser or with any standard content blocker, and the site works exactly the same.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links to instrument retailers on this site may be affiliate links, which means MyMusicKid may earn a small commission if you make a purchase — at no extra cost to you. This never affects our advice: our recommendations are written first, and links are added where they help. No retailer pays for placement, and we'll happily tell you to buy used or skip a purchase entirely.
Children's privacy
MyMusicKid is written for parents and guardians, not for children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13, and the site itself doesn't collect personal information from any visitor.
Third-party links
Links to retailers, schools, and other external sites lead to services with their own privacy practices, which we don't control. Check their policies before providing personal information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
